WHITE STORKS OF MERCY
A TRILOGY
BOOK TWO – REUNION
The epic journey that commenced with White Storks of Mercy—Formation continues in a world where reality and fantasy coexist. These graceful supernatural birds are vested with eternal life and the power to transform into women. As humans, they are called the Merciful Ones.
In Reunion, the Great and Honorable Zendala leads the legendary coterie through time searching for her last two recruits. These new members will join an ancient Egyptian pharaoh, a Christian martyr, a Scottish queen, and a ten-year-old Spanish Gypsy girl.
The second book in the trilogy begins after Reba, the antagonistic sister of Zendala, relinquishes her life as a Siamese cat. She yearns to reunite with the soul of her beloved human owner, hoping to find him in another man’s body. Reba’s life force, known as her ka, slipped back into the dead cat’s mouth during the incarnation. Ka encounters considerable peril as she navigates the afterlife.
Meanwhile, a Celtic Druidess is saved by the coterie but does not divulge her centuries-long relationship with Reba. Nor does she admit to her own role in the transmigration of the cat’s soul. The Druidess guides the coterie to a subterranean spring in France, where the White Storks of Mercy undertake a critical humanitarian mission to rescue soldiers from both sides. Once again, they find that it is not easy to be peacemakers from the past striving to save the world for the future.
Unaware of Reba’s incarnation, Zendala was shocked when a newborn baby with the eyes of a cat appeared to her in a vision at the end of Formation. Twenty years later in Reunion, the Merciful Ones intervene during a crisis experienced by a young Portuguese sculptress, Rebecca Bour da Bon. Her sky-blue eyes with diamond shaped pupils are identical to Reba’s. Will coincidence or fate determine the direction that her life takes?
